to the American Heart Association's Dietary Guidelines, try to include
the following recommendations to your new healthy diet:
DO eat more fruits and vegetables, at least 5 servings per day.
DO eat a variety of whole grain foods.
DO drink fat free or low fat milk.
DO get your protein from fish, skinless poultry (chicken or turkey), very lean meats, and legumes(beans).
and oils should have no more than 2 grams of saturated fat per tablespoon. This
includes, olive oil, canola oil, certain liquid and tub margarines.
Read the labels so you know what you are putting into your body!

DON'T eat fried foods!
DON'T eat an excess of fatty meats & red meat!
DON'T eat a lot of egg yolks!
DON'T consume a lot of whole milk, cream & fatty cheeses!
DON'T abuse butter, margarine & oils.
put partially hydrogenated oils into your body! If you see this
on any food label, DO NOT eat it! It is equal to putting sludge
into your car. It will clog your arteries!
high fructose corn syrup! Read the food labels. There
are healthier choices out there, you just have to know what to look for. Look for naturally sweetened foods.
DON'T eat an abundance of candy, fatty snacks, potato chips, cookies or ice cream! SORRY!
